I create things
I ventured out six months ago to do something I never dreamed I would. I took my love for creating things and started a business.
I'll be honest. I didn't think it would succeed. It is extremely difficult to get into this market and be successful. Making a profit can be even harder. When you take into account materials, overhead, shipping...and then time. The time it takes just to make something. To take a clean canvas, look at it and say, "I'm think I'll try this". And that is exactly what it is. Trial and error. Sometimes you have flops. And sometimes, every now and again, you get it just right.
So here I am, six months later, trying to catch my breathe. I had no idea. I genuinely had no idea this would take off as it had. I figured after a month or two, it would fizzle out and I'd just go back to my regular life. As busy as I am, I absolutely love it. I love that every day, there is a new challenge. I love seeing my customers get excited and happy about something I've made, just for them. I love when someone sends me a picture or a video. It makes my heart soar!
Now, not everyone is always going to be pleased with what I do. It is just a fact of life. But for me, the good outweighs the bad. So I learn from my mistakes, pick myself up and dust myself off and try again.
So as long as I keep getting the smiling pictures and happy videos, I will keep my business doors open. Because that's what I do. I create things. :)
